Marriage Closure Counseling is a therapeutic intervention that assists couples in their personal transition pre- and post-divorce. It's designed to provide a safe and supportive environment for couples who are:
- Negotiating or Navigating a divorce or separation agreement
- Processing deep resentment
- Not on the same page about wanting the divorce
- Having difficulty keeping the children out of the conflict
- Both feeling sad and/or ambivalent about the divorce
- Trying to deal directly with one another rather than paying attorneys to deliver messages.
Goals of Marriage Closure Therapy
- To bring closure to the relationship through reconciliation or dissolution
- To help with co-parenting, facilitating grief, establishing clear boundaries and creating a respectful, productive plan to move forward after separation/divorce.
